What are Visiting Hours?

All Patient Areas, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (except ICU & NICU). The ICU visiting hours are 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.; 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.; 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.; 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.; and 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The NICU is closed to visitors during the following times: 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Where can I park?

Visitors may park, free of charge, in the hospital’s parking lot. Please do not park in spaces reserved for doctors and clergy. We offer a Courtesy Tram, which is available to give you a ride between your car and the hospital from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The tram regularly circles the parking lot to pick up arriving visitors and stops for departing visitors at the main lobby entrance.

What should I bring with me to the hospital?

Primarily, you want to remember your MED-KEY Card, Contact Information, Insurance Information, Medical History, and Advance Directive. However, for more information and clarification, please click on the "Patients" heading located on the toolbar towards the top of this page.

What if I have a complaint about my care?

If at any time during a stay at Peace River Regional Medical Center you are not receiving the kind of treatment that you have a right to expect, please make your concerns known to your Nursing Director or Clinical Leader responsible for the nursing unit. If assistance is needed after normal business hours, please dial "0" and ask for the Nursing Supervisor. You may also click on the "Contact Us" link at the top of this page and submit a message using "Patient Feedback" as your contact reason. This will notify our Patient Advocate who will in turn investigate your concerns.

How can I volunteer?

Anyone 18 years of age or older, male or female, seasonal or full-time resident, can join the Auxiliary. Volunteers are essential and we are very grateful to anyone willing to lend a hand. In addition, our Teen Volunteer Program allows high school students, 14 years of age and older, the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and fulfill educational community service requirements.
