Patient Safety

Maintaining a Culture of Safety

At Peace River Regional Medical Center, our physicians and staff value the safety and quality of patient care by following these elements of performance, obtained from the Joint Commission Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals:

• Peace River Regional educates its staff that any employee who has concerns about the safety or quality of care provided in the hospital may report these concerns to the Joint Commission.

• Peace River Regional further informs its staff that it will take no disciplinary action because an employee reports safety or quality of care concerns to the Joint Commission.

• Peace River Regional demonstrates this commitment by taking no retaliatory disciplinary action to employees when they do report safety or quality of care concerns to the Joint Commission.

Please make your nurse, director, or administration aware of concerns about the safety or quality of care.  You may contact any of the individuals below, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., so that appropriate actions can be taken.
