Here at Peace River Regional Medical Center, we have over 300 physicians representing more than 40 specialties on staff.
The physician who admits you to the hospital directs your care while you are our patient. Please consult your physician if you have questions about your illness or treatment.
Some office-based physicians rely on independent internal medicine physicians, known as hospitalists, to co-manage their patients in the hospital. Upon admission, hospitalists will manage most aspects of your care. The hospitalist will communicate with your primary care physician after you are discharged from the hospital.
